I am going to organize a coupon swap at the RCCS community room and was just wondering how many people would be willing to try to attend.
It probably won't be for a while because I don't know how booked up they get. I have added a poll to find out a good time.
Never even thought about the RCSS, great idea !!!!
My best is for a weekend, and then can do my shopping while there.
St. Thomas works my inlaws live there, easy to drop off the husband and daughter!
Is St. Thomas considered the same as London?

Julie I was planning another trade day and if everyone can make it to St. Thomas that works for me too!!! Have you found out any other details. Will it cost anything to use the room?? I have been looking for a new place to hold the meetings and in London we have 2 RCSS that would make for a great place to do it and then shop afterwards!!!!
I am pretty sure its free, I just don't know how far in advance they book up...and how long does a coupon meet usually take (how long should I book the room for an hour?? couple of hours???)
the last one lasted about 1 hour -1 1/2 hours, but there was only 4 of us!
Have you thought of a date yet?
It is a nice room, when I worked in St. Thomas we used to hold staff meetings in them!

a Sunday 11-2

a Saturday 11-2
(let me know if there is a better time frame--if earlier would be better like 10-1 instead of 11-2)
When I call if they tell me what is available and it is in one of these sort of time frames I may just go ahead and book it.... is the 21st too soon? or start looking after the 28th?
I also have a friend who works at the art gallery and they can set up meeting space since it is a "public" art gallery and every person who walks through their doors is counted as a "visitor" to help them with their funding. If that strikes you as something neat we could try that.
Sunday morning works best for me 10-1 or 11-2
Julie with your permission I would bring the "gift" bag full of samples and free product that we can use as a door prize. I will PM you with the contents if you want.

I haven't been able to get a hold of the person who does the booking yet today. I don't mind hosting it at my place, but I can tell you it will be tidy...but my house is not overly clean. That way if anyone wants to bring kids they could because I have 2 boys.

Is the community room in the upper part at RCSS in St. Thomas? I'm tied up all weekend this weekend for sure and next Saturday too but keep us posted on the set date and time and I will try to come.
I can't do next Saturday either, going to see Disney Princess's on Ice at the JLC, oh the excitment of it. My girls are really looking forward to it.

I think I will end up having it at my place, So all we need to do is arrange a date, probably a Sunday works best for everyone and say we have it from 10:30-???
and we can have a bit of a luncheon before its over. (just veggies and dip, buns and meat) and I don't bake so if someone wants to bring something, great and if not I can grab a dozen donuts too.
I have never been or hosted a coupon exchange so if there is something else I need to think about let me know!
I called RCSS just to find out how much it would be to hold a trade day there and it was $75 dollars for 4hour rental.They don't discount if you only use it for 11 or 2 hours. Which sucks!
Julie.leeds thanks for offering up your place, great idea! If you need any help please just PM me and I would love to help. I have lot's of extra forks/knives/spoons/plates/beer cups, left over from new years. I can bring them if need be!!!
